I feel entirely confident in Owl’s Nest’s good environmental and labor practices in a way that I don’t about any other part of my food chain. I’m so grateful for that.

here’s how it works

We set up farmer's market style at your pickup location and you arrive during the pickup window to pack your share. An Owl's Nest Farmer is present to provide instructions, answer questions, and swap recipes. Interested in our Market CSA? Learn more here.

Choose full share or half share.

Full share

Full shareholders pick up every week. Each share includes 7-10 produce items and for 2-5 of the items, you'll usually have a choice.

Full shares are a great choice for larger families and for folks who want to get the most veggies for their money.

See sample shares from previous seasons here.

half share

Half shareholders pick up every other week. The share size is the same - half shareholders just pick up less often.

It's a great choice for folks who are trying a CSA for the first time and folks who travel on a regular basis.

In 2026, our main CSA season is from May 5 to October 27.

I was tired of supporting massive corporations every time I shop, and I really appreciate the idea of local, fresh tasty food, but I had always felt like a CSA was out of my budget.

Customize your share with Add-ons

  • Add mushrooms from King Mushrooms to your share.

  • Get a farmers choice selection of local grains and beans from our neighbors at Purple Mountain Grown.

  • Most popular! Sign up for an egg add-on from local, pasture-raised hens.

  • We offer a monthly share of pasture-raised meat from Open Book Farm.

  • Opt to add a monthly fruit share from Kuhn Orchards.

  • With our solidarity add-on, experience a new food and farming product created by local producers who are people of color, women, and/or non-binary. More here.

We’ve really enjoyed the high quality of all the food we get, which is often noticeably better than the store. But we also really like how fun pickup is and how nice it is to be part of a community supporting local agriculture.

Consider our sliding SCALE

We want the food we grow to be enjoyed by all kinds of people. Local, organic food is often only affordable and accessible for people with wealth and privilege.

So for us, a sliding scale is a tool for building economic justice that invites our CSA members to consider their relationship to class, income, and privilege when paying for their membership.

Here are our 2026 share prices

  • Half share

    • Pay it forward price: $540 / market rate: $450 / lower income/wealth: $360

  • Full share

    • Pay it forward price: $1075 / market rate: $895 / lower income/wealth: $715

You can choose which price you pay for your CSA in 2026. Read more here.

We are so lucky to have your delicious produce, eggs and fruits. We appreciate the ability to skip/reschedule pickups if we are traveling. Portion sizes are great, variety is great, and community is great.

donate to our food access fund

Since 2019, we’ve been working to share more of our produce with folks who couldn’t otherwise afford it.

Consider contributing along with your CSA purchase! Donations are totally optional, but not currently tax deductible.
