Online Farmer’s Market

FAQ

When does your online store open?

Starting April 29, we’ll open our online store to the general public every Wednesday and close it on Thursday evening so we can harvest and pack on Friday.

Sign up for our email list to get a notification when the store opens.

When and where do I pick up my order?

Pick up your order on Saturday between 9am-1pm at the Owl’s Nest stand at the Petworth Market.

Will you have produce for sale at the market?
We expect to have a limited amount of produce available for sale at the market. Our produce display will be behind a barrier and our staff will be the only ones to handle produce. We'll have a contactless credit card reader and only one person handling payments.

We're hoping to do what we can to stop the spread of COVID-19 by making it easy for you to grab and go. Order online in advance to make sure you get what you want!

P.S. That said, we'll go back to regular market operations as soon as it's safe. We love making beautiful market displays and getting to know our market customers - it’s why we do what we do - so we’ll stop taking pre-orders when we can.

Do you have an order minimum?

As of May 3, we have a $12 order minimum for online orders. If you’d like less than $12 worth of produce, you can visit our stand at the market to select your items.

Can you deliver my produce?
We're not offering home delivery at this time. Sorry! We’re a small team and we don’t have the capacity right now. Number 1 Sons is offering home delivery for local food and might be a good fit.

What if I forget to pick up my order?
While we reserve the right to donate any produce not picked up by 1pm, you can always contact us and we’ll try to work something out.

Can I pre-order meat or eggs?
We love eggs and meat from our pals at Open Book Farm. Check out their online store here. They plan to have a wider selection available at market than through their online store, so stop by their stand for the widest selection.

How are you guys doing?
Oh you know, we’re fine. We’re healthy, and hope you are, too. Your support means the world.

Thanks in advance for your patience and flexibility as we work to develop new systems in response to this public health crisis. We’re doing our very best!

General guidelines

  • Our online farmer's market is first come, first served.
  • We will pack all orders received by Thursday at 9pm for Saturday’s Petworth Market. We harvest almost everything on Friday, so having your order in advance allows us to plan accordingly - and it means your produce is super fresh.
  • You can pick up your order during market hours - between 9am-1pm. We’ll have them organized by last name.
  • Please follow all instructions and guidelines set by local authorities and the Petworth Market team. Know that we’re also taking extra precautions to our staff and our produce safe.
  • We pack many items in compostable plastic bags; however, we’ve found that salad greens generally don’t keep as well in these, so we suggest you either eat your greens within 3-4 days or place your salad greens in another container to ensure their freshness.
